Ran into some snags during my 5.3 swap

Well my motor is all the way back as far as the dirty dingo mounts let it go and my driveshaft is about two to three inches short from mounting up if I pull on it to mount it the yoke falls out the trans also the driver side exhaust flange is close to the frame when I went to put the stick y pipe flange and pipe with the bung in it it hit the frame the pipe is cut behind the bung so I will have to rework it passenger side is good.anyone else have these problems

Did you swap the trans along with the motor? And is there any way possible to put the motor mounts in backwards?

After reading your other thread, I'd venture to guess you either have the wrong mounts, or you fucked up mounting them in some way. Would explain why nothing lined up for you. Call them and get some part numbers and measurements to reference and verify you have the correct mounts first.

The mounts have to be the correct ones I verified them off the site and it's hard to mess them up there stamped p and d for passenger and driver with arrows pointing which way they go my trans crossmember lined up perfect to the trans mount on the tail end so it's correct but fit was off where you drive the long bolt threw the reason for driveshaft being to short is probably the truck is body dropped and rear suspension travels I never jacked the rearend up to see where it's at in travel so I'll do that today

I there is anyone that can measure where your boltcenter is in the mount on the block that would be great looks like I have room to come back the bolts are all the way forward right now I'm gonna have to relocate the trans member looks like also so I do have room to come back in the mount just ha to look at it again

What engine did you have before? What year truck? Trans should not have to be moved if you have the correct mounts, mounted correctly.
