    coolant hose to throttle body

    what did yall do with it? i dont want to run the coolant thru the throttle body. i have the original radiator (brand new) in the truck with a 5.3

    The long hose from the radiator that went to the throttle body will usually make it to the head bypassing the TB

    Maybe I'm a lil too redneck. I used a hack saw and cut the aluminum just above the steel "pipe" that runs through it. I'll look for the post I made a while back that has some pics.

    Just run the hose over to the head it will reach bypassing the tb

    yeah and connect it where on the 81 radiator? the spout thats supposed to go to the overflow tank? or the bigger spout that wont fit that small of a hose

    You could send it to the over flow tank, I have plugged it before but gm put it there for a reason. Got a pic of your radiator or engine bay?

    Ill get a pick tomorrow. If I sent it to the over flow tank wont it fill up the over flow tank? The thought bout plugging it but read it needs to be hooked up

    DO NOT run it from the head to the overflow. Tap the thermostat housing or water pump and thread in a fitting.

    So go from the head to a tapped nipple on the water pump or thermostat?
