Small update, yesterday I mocked up my fuel lines and got all but the trans connections and loose wires connected on the standalone. Turns out the starter that was sent to me doesn't fit, it looks exactly like the starter from my 95 so I need a new starter also.

I also got my throttle cable all hooked up...WOT for the 5.3 feels to be about 3/4 throttle the way the pedal came from the factory so it should be fun to drive in the rain

Edit: and yep the throttle blade does close completely

Well guys it's cranking but won't start, what are some common issues guys run into when trying to start them for the first time?

Bad grounds, Squirrel in exhaust, wires pulled out of connector.

Walk away and try again when your not frustrated and have a clear head.

I know I'm guilty of working nonstop missing something simple and basic because I was tired and mad. Just a thought.

Well there's no pressure at the fuel rail even though I can hear the pump coming on

It's fun to drive...need to wire up my speedo though. I've been without it for almost a couple of months
