Your doing a great job with everything. Question, are you planning to go to a referee station once your done? If so, I want to know myself, to which one. You also took off alot of wires, is it going to pass smog? Also, I believe your going to have to change the fuel tank, because of the fuel tank pressure sesnsor. The 96 tank I believe doesn't have one. These refs are tough here in California, so be prepared.

thanks alot bud! i doubt it will pass smog but i been in the street racing scene for a few years now so getting a smog certificate wont be a problem

also the 96+ fuel tank and stock pump works fine with the ls motor. i beleive the motor needs at least 58psi and the stock stuff will supply it. only the 95 and earlier need the upgraded fuel pump because i believe the tbi only needed 28psi...my numbers may be off but close.

    headers

Do you think these are the same ones as the painted ones, jsut ceramic coated?

I might do these instead so I dont have to pay to have the painted ones sandblasted then powder coated.

do u kno how much it costs on average to have them blasted/coated...like 200 ish?

mounted the headers today and put in the plugs and wires. re used original wires for now but put in a set or tr55 plugs. heard these were better than the e3' s and at 2.99 per plug couldnt beat it! only issue im dealing with is the park neutral safty switch.

originally i was told i should use the plug from the ls harness but then i found out i shpould have used the original one from the truck. the ls pns switch would only be used for diagnostic mode or something. problem is...i cut the wires now i cant find where to reconnect them to my original 96 harness.. any clarification on this situation?

slos how the hell do i mount the oil dipstick? wont fit now because of the headers! any ideas on how to do this

everyday its gets closer..just waiting on the pcm in the mail and ill pretty much be ready to try and fire this thing up!
