OBS LS Swap Fuel Pump tip *very helpful*

Why splice together wires to make ur new 255 fuel pump work to work with or old tbi setup?

I just bought summits edelbrock #3581. It is actually a walbro 255 pump (and for less money) plus u get a filter sock and a connector harness that connects the new Walbro 255lph to your old tbi setup. I used this on my 94 and it was a breeze. Should work on 88-95 trucks. Remember to get a high pressure hose so your old tbi one doesn't blow out (needs to support atleast 60psi). And dont forget to put the old insulator on the new pump, it helps quiet the noise because it SCREAMS

So just out of curiousity, is there something better about doing that then the ep-381 pump? Is the 381 not a direct replacement for a TBI pump?
