    Thumbs up

I'm just about ready to start my swap next week, and I was going over all my parts, and I saw in the part numbers thread, part #s for throttle cables. Is swapping throttle cables a necessary part of the swap? I'm swapping an LS2 into a '98 Sierra with a 350. Just want to make sure I have all the parts before I start my swap as I want minimal downtime.

    Depends...

#1 - was your motor carb'd or EFI?
#2 - how long is your linkage?
#3 - will it fit/match with the new swap's TB?
    -------------
With my carb'd V6 (Rochester Q-Jet), the linkage was too short, of a different type, and connected to carb on the left side of the motor. If all three of my questions lead to a "workable" match for you, you may be okay with what you have. I had to slightly re-shape my accelerator to take about 1.5" of slack out, and it works without issue.

If you have the stock 98 throttle and cruise control cables they will work. Look at the pic in my low profile throttle cable thread. You can use the stock LS2 cable bracket if you want also.
