    new member from southern illinois

hey guys, just became the owner of a 2003 chevy silverado 2500HD 2wd. i would have rather had a 4wd but couldnt justify spending triple on what i got this one for. ($3500). im a regular member on ltxtech.com and most of my experience is with the lt1 platform. as it sits it is stock, seems to have been well maintained, runs and drives great. future mods i have in mind are:
    ss front bumper
    fender flare delete
aaaaaaaaand a turbo. if you have any suggestions let me know! THANKS FOR THE COOL SITE!

thanks for all the welcomes. i attempted changing out my oil pressure sending unit tonight. i got the connector off and bloody fingers. going to try to get a different socket from autozone tomorrow and give it another try. what would you guys say the hardest mod/repair is to do on the ls engines in these trucks?

You have to have a special socket, got one in the tool box if you wanna come get it the hardest thing to change.........i honestly dont knownothing is that hard on these guess it would depend on the situation, like swapping in an 80e on a sloped gravel driveway by myself. Normal conditions the hardest thing to do pulling a cab with only you and another guy

lol that sounds pretty tough. i was pretty pleased to find out my truck came factory with the 4l80e and 4:10 gears. 2 less things i'll have the change later. where did you buy your socket from?
