2500hd, to drop or not to drop...

I've got an 03 2500hd 2wd. Im not sure if it's been raised at some point in its life but its sits too high for a 2wd imo. I don't offroad so id like to drop it down a little. I see some 3" kits on ebay for less than $200. Anyone ever done this? Any pics?

Reason it looks higher than a normal 2wd is because its an HD. They have different suspension than the regular duty trucks.

But as far as dropping it go...I say go at least 2/4 maybe even 3/5 or 4/6.

yea its coming down. im looking at a flip kit in the rear and a different key that is supposed to be good for 3".then that should have it sitting close to level. i might even check out the body mounts, they may have some sort of factory body lift on them cause i see an awful lot of frame hanging under there. there is no reason to have a jacked up 2wd

I'd leave it as is...who expects a big truck to be fast?

4/7 is a good drop, and you want a good 3in difference from front to back. I dropped my rear 3'' in my duramax and it made it level lol. Also idk about the 4l80e cross member but i know the allison corssmember gets eaten up on dropped trucks because it s the lowest point under the truck
