Anybody else have their dash crack yet? Mine cracked after 58670 miles right on the upper left corner of the passenger air bag. Called GM and they said the warranty runsout at 3yrs or 36k miles. Normally id be pissed but thats a good excuse to pull it out fix it and paint it.

Never heard of this until a month ago when the FNG had to do two in a two week span. He never replaced one before and neither had the other two old timers here. Must be getting contagious. Since GM is giving away the store I'd demand the dealer do it.....it is really working right now. SM's are getting griped at by AVM's for NOT giving away enough warranty....the only loser in the deal is the highly trained (hopefully) tech that has to complete the work. We get paid about half for work done under warranty is case anyone wants to know why dealers used to reject out of warranty requests and why I need customers to pay for stuff. Attest to the fact this issue has made you lose confidence in the product and you require the repair for you to retain your enthusiasm with said GM product. Do it before they change their minds.
Yeah i know about the warranty pay. I used to work at a dealership on the body repair side but used to hear the mechnics complain severly about waranty work. That was 2 years ago and they were replacing at least 3 a week the newest one having less than 11K miles on it. Ill try to see if gm will replace mine cuz ive owned gms since forever.
my cousins 08 silvy dash is cracked in the same spot his truck only has 20k miles!! was told that the nnbs have a weak spot in that area. the repair shop said they get many 07+ trucks w cracked dash in the same spot. that suxs
