    Paint removal

    Whats the best way to get the paint off my grill on my truck. Mine has lots of rock chips etc. Just wanting to get it back to the chrome

    So you can use paint stripper and a brillo pad, or good ole fashioned sand paper, start with like a 320/400 grit and keep getting finer with the grit to work any sanding grooves out, its a pita but if you want it to come out good, thats the way its gotta be done.

    Will it damage the chrome? I think thats the problem now is that they didnt prep it before they sprayed it

    Well sand paper will of course if you hit the chrome with it, and as long as you dont use to strong of paint stripper it shouldnt mess up the chrome.

    Heat gun will work too if it was a crappy job.

    Will it just flake off or peel off with thte heat gun

    Should peel with a heat gun, but if it gets to hot the chrome may bubble.
