I'm glad it helps! Everything is now working as it should like factory. I am actually working on hooking the ac up now, I'm using the factory compressor that came on the tbi motor. I'm following the thread that says "need ac but.." in this conversion section. Let me know if you have any questions I might be able to help with

Wow, this is great information. I read thru every post and to be honest I am nervous about doing something like this. I can turn wrenches with the best of them but when it comes to electrical and computer stuff.......... thats a different story.

I maybe be bugging the crap out of you for a while to pick your brain about the swap.

Don't worry about it man, I am not skilled by any means when it comes to electrical stuff. It's not gonna be that bad. Let me know if you need anything else

Thank you! And I actually just got the truck back together. Lol. I put 4.56 gears front and rear with a truetrac, and completely rebuilt the front end, end to end using all moog components. (ouch on the wallet) I have been extremely pleased with the way the truck has ran, it seems exceptional. From a 20 mph roll the truck will spin both tires 15 - 20 feet. And from a stop it will shift into 2nd spinning and walk a lil ways. And that's on 33 x 12.50 tires, talk about fun lol

Hi I have a question for you because i keep getting different information. You used the original 1995 4l60e trans when you did this swap? I want to do the 5.3 swap and was unsure if the 95 trans would work right. I figured I would ask you because you did the swap and know first hand. Does everything work with the transmssion like everything shift right and everything? Thanks in advance for any hel you can give.

Nice thread!! I bet that thing is a blast to drive! I just got done swapping a 5.3 in the place of my old tired 350 tbi. Its just a whole different world from the tbi!!! But mine was a 1994 and the tranny had been pushed 250000... REEEAAAL good for a 4l60!!! (Or so my transmission guy said) but anyway i put a 5.3 and tranny out of a 2002 silverado in it and i couldnt be happier with the truck!!
