Meh, I would pass on the side pipes there's a reason you don't see them alot I just like the look of a single 3.5" 15º tip, your decision though

TAMUG is alot cheaper, I know many of people who did most of their basics here and transferred to main campus.

    95 C1500 LM7, built 4L60e, Circle D 3200, LT's, Nelson tune, open differential, 3.42, and LS1 e-fans. Tractionless

Congrats on the first time startup! Please, for love of all things cool, don't do the side pipes. It's not the 70s anymore. I think they're tacky. Also, on the side exit exhaust, Ford did it factory in the late 90s. They stopped for a reason. The heat coming from caused problems with the rear passenger wheel. If you've ever noticed a late 90s F150 with discolored wheels on one side, that's why. If I remember correctly, it caused bearing problems on that wheel as well, but I'm not positive on that part.

I do have a few questions for you. In one pic, there's wires run across the engine and hanging down. I can see butt connectors on those wires. Is that something that you did, or is that from Nelson? Also, you posted questions about wiring, and then didn't mention wiring any more. What exactly did you end up getting from Nelson? (full replacement, yours reworked, theirs or your computer) Looking forward to seeing this thing all buttoned up and you driving it in the next video.

Oh, which motor mounts did you use? If you said, I missed it.

I think it's cool that you're a high school senior. Most of the kids your age that I know won't open their hood, much less do something like this. Congrats! I do good to get my 12 year old to hand me tools, but my 9 year old wants to be in the middle of it. lol

Oh, can I see more pics of the Beetle? I love the early Bugs, and the tail lights say that one is.

First, thanks! I know what you mean about high schoolers my generation is pathetic. But anyways. The wiring is Nelson's. They made the whole new harness. The butts are my wiring on the old factory harness for headlights and stuff and they surely aren't hangin there now. I used dirty dingo engine mounts and they are great. The beetle is a 1967. Been in the family since new. Ill be the third owner. Completely stock. Me and my dad just finished resorig it in and out. Only 114000 original miles so far. More pics of everything later. And the computer tune was done by Nelson as well. They do a great job.

As for the exhaust I didnt mean the side exit like the one before the wheel. I was thinking duals angled out the back behind the wheels.

That sounds a lot better. In my opinion, exhaust is meant to be heard and not seen. I like a well tucked exhaust with some nice chrome tips just sticking below the body. I wish I had pics of my V8 S-10. I used late 70s Trans Am tips on it. The only part visible was only about 3/4" that dropped below the body.

The Bug story is cool. I'd love some pics, even in PM or a photobucket link.
