Something to think about Pat G ...you ever hear of any big time racer using a cam he spec'd? Yet everyone believes he's the god at spec'ing cams.
Without trying several cams and trying them you are souly going off his guessing on what would work the best.
Alot of his cams are tweaked OTS. CAMS
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

So we all know that the TR220 and TR224 are proven performers in 5.3s with naturally aspirated setups. Im doing a.budget 5.3 76mm build on my truck and I planned to buy a used LS6 cam BC they seem to work well as a cheap boost cam. I know I can find a TR220 or TR224 just as easy and for about the same price. So if I can find one with a 114 Las, would that be the better cam over the Ls6?

excellent point George. Ya there are a few other people that I will talk to for my next cam. Kurt Urban or some of the guys off the bullet.

Thanks George. What is the overlap on a TR224 with a 112 lsa?

Nvm. Found a calculator. Its 0 degrees overlap. It seems to me that a TR224 on a 112 lsa would be the perfect cam for my setup BC of the fact it has no overlap, relatively low lift which is good with my stock heads BC I'm sure they don't flow much past .570 anyway, 112 lsa will move the power band down lower so I don't have to Rev to 7000 and 224 seems like a good amount of duration for a Turbo 5.3

I think the duration on the cam in Mitch's truck is 224/224 and he put down over 700 on a stock 5.3 with twins. Lots more lift though I think
