the day has come!!! finally picked up a lm7 from a 2004 avalanche from craigslist for $500 complete from intake to oil pan and with the harness and fuse box. will finish pulling the stroker out this weekend. will post pics

ok so i just picked up my engine earlier today. it fit right in the back of my 2 door with no prob. heres a couple pics of the engine in the trunk





tommorow i will finish pulling the stroker out. and start to clean up the lm7. only thing that i dont have for the engine is the computer. so i gotta find a computer. any ideas guys?

i would think ebay would have a ton of them, and every one that i have seen on ebay has been like 300 bucks or less. but, you know...

yea isnt there somewhere that i can tell them what im doing to my engine and they send me a ready tuned pcm? i plan to change the DBW to throttle cable.

uhhh, i have heard about LS1swap.com a lot, might check there... i think its "ls1 swap.com" atleast...

ok, cant you take it to some high end performance shops, and get it tuned, and reprogramed and everything? i haven't really had to deal with computers much, so, yeah... lol. i only really work on old cars 95% of the time.

Try street and sand performance for the pcm I got my harness and pcm complete from them and they can also provide and program one for ya. Those guys where lots of help so far for me. Check ebay also lots of stuff always on their. Wow wish I had your motivation to work work work. Or you where my neighbor. good luck with the build.

yea i ordered the adapters for oil pressure and coolant temp from those guys. they atre pretty pricey however. there a local guy who i will give me the harness i need to work with my drive by cable conversion for 450 and a member on this site is going to send me a pcm already tuned and eveything for 150. the local guy also said for an extra 300 he will wire the entire engine intergrate my stock pcm and get it running. i love reading other builds on here so i figured ill try to keep mine pretty interesting. once i get the frame done im going to bolt the engine up and put the front end back together.

got a little done today. finished cleaning up the frame and got it primered.







also cleaned up the outer wheel well. sanded..sanded then wet sanded..hung then and got ready for paint. so idiot changed the cap on the can and it was flat black. came out horrible so i didnt even take a pic. bought some gloss so hopefully tommorow i can finish those up. then its on the there inner fender.
