35/12.50/20 to big for stock drive train???

I have a 2007 silverado, stock 5.3, 3.73 gears. My truck has a 6" Zone lift and I am running 33/12.50/18s and the truck still has a good amount of power but... they look small. Thinking about going to 35/12.50/20s but afraid they will take away alot of power. Anyone running 35/12.50/20? and did they take the balls out of your truck??

If you don't re-gear it's definitely gonna take the balls away. Ask Christian (Duct_Tape123) about going from big tires to small tires. Improved his mpg by 3+ and now he's just making a smoke show all across town.

a friend had 35s with 3.42 gears and the truck was a turd, had no pick up at all. i wouldnt recommend 35" tires with 3.73s. if you decide on the 35"s plan on changing gear ratio to 4.56 or 4.88

Word. 4.56s to bring is back to "stockish" and 4.88s to account for added rolling resistance. I'm leveled with 33s and would do 4.56s.

    I have 35/12.50/20 on 99 z71..with the stock 3.73's it wasn't to bad,till I put the 4.88's in..it's like night and day,then add the built 6.0 with stall=one hell of a time!

What were your MPGs before and after the 4.88s?

i bet the mpg are better with the 4.88 than the 3.73s. my neighbor has a blazer with a 700r4, 35" tires, 3.73 gears. he told me that it would downshift alot so he would keep it in 3rd, poor stock motor struggled to move that heavy truck , he now has 4.88s and the truck feels lighter.
