    Flatbed

I was wondering if anyone know of a company that makes a flatbed for these 1/2 ton trucks or if one from a 3/4 ton would fit? I have an 06 1500 and I know many people think its stupid but I'm usually hooked up to a gooseneck 4 days of the week and my truck pulls it just fine leaving me no need to spend the money on a diesel. Having to climb in and out to unhook it is a pain in the butt and if anyone has ever had to work out of the bed of their truck and climb in and out for tools they know what mean.

The problem is you have a short bed truck. 99% of the flat beds will be made for long wheel base or cab& chassis trucks. Probably have to have something custom made.

I wasnt sure how much of a difference there was between the frame of a shortbed on the 3/4 tons vs. the 1/2 tons

If you call them they will make anything you want. The only deal is they patent every bed they make so it can't be copied by anyone.

Actually, that's exactly what sucks about a patent. Someone can virtually identically mimic your design, make a slight improvement, and get their own patent...that's what puts a lot of patent owners in a bad spot. They do the R&D, build it, patent it.....Joe Shmoe copies it, makes a slight change, and sells it for less. Then everyone wants the new improved (but usually cheaper) version. Sucks.

    Off topic, sorry.
