    need some SICK ideas...

i want to give my truck a make over and get rid of the Look it has now...the blue and chrome rims etc attracts DPS all the time.they never fail....
im looking into doing something a little more of that sporty (meaner look)...

i was thinking a darker color for sure,i was going to do Black even before the Blue which i should have...

might do Gloss black on black or gunmetal silver on black

but for sure im getting rid of the blue and ordering a hood for it..just undecided on which one

i really like the cowl hood, can never go wrong with a cowl hood but i dont like the vents on it,dont even like the vents on the fender, will paint to match them when in booth.

then theres this one i can get that "V" look

any suggestions ideas on how to make this look mean?

i like these colors on black or grey wheels

Out of the two colors, I like the first color a lot better. I think that color would like awesome with some gray TBSS 22's or your Esky 22's powdered gray. Another color you should consider is Spiral Gray Metallic, that color would look AWESOME imo. I like the stock hood the best, but I guess the second one isn't terrible.

I like the first although I would like to see it even a little bit darker. Add some gunmetal rims and would be sick.

Cyber gray is always sick, But damn I might just cry a little when you paint you truck. It is cover truck waiting to happen. I love the way it looks, and I'm sure you will make it sick regardless what you end up doing.

I'd do the opposite of Allen's Cadillac. Gloss black, and do a semi-matte on all the trim and chrome.

Personally I'd keep the blue, just tone it down by changing the chrome to a dark chrome or get rid of all the chrome all together and paint it all black. Paint the headlight housings and put a mild tint on the lenses and fogs. Go with a little darker tint on the tails. Then I'd get a gunmetal looking powder coat for the Esky wheels. As the last thing, I'd see about getting rid of the mesh in the grills or just lose the mesh on the bottom grill. And DO get that second hood it looks pretty effing nice.

    Just my opinion.

Dark dark green, small dark copper/orange pistripe, then black, black rims and the 2nd hood.

A saddle leather interior would look tits with that setup. Maybe with DARK woodgrain accents?

I think the major part of your ideas thats going to make it look sinister and more mean is the aspects a lot of the v's you pictured have. Those are more monochromatic cars with less chrome. If you went with a darker color, what about a midnight blue instead of a black? Kind of between what you have and a black to set it off from just your truck from GM that came in black? That way the effort is going towards something thats more one off?

The wheels, i think a major thing with wheels on cars is the offset. I guess its cause im a stance riceboy and like more flush fitting wheels which isnt for everyone. Hell, i think even with the truck now, you could do something different with the grill where it removes all of the grid feel of it and opens it up more like a cts-v grill, monochromatic the chrome stuff out by making every piece of trim the color of the truck, getting some wheels or even keeping the ones you have and powder coating them gunmetal or something like black, and putting on some 1 inch spacers or so to push them out.

Perhaps take the headlight apart and make the insides black housing or smoked housings?

Im going full mono on my gto. Gloss black car, satin black roof, satin black hood, satin black trunk, and half of the side skirts will be satin black where the bodylines come through. The wheels are black anodized centers with gloss black lips. All of the chrome is gone. If its a chome part, its either wrapped in satin black vinyl or its powdercoated black wrinkle finish. The end goal was to keep it all either gloss black, satin black, or black wrinkle finish. No color aside from the tail lights. Im not really into the whole gts tail light cover looking solid black tail lights. If its LIGHTLY smoked it looks good, but you have to still be able to clearly see the red and clear on the lights for my taste.

Either way, keep in mind the chrome stuff you paint, will chip really easily. I have had great success going to a plastics company, getting a vinyl guide and getting rolls of vinyl that match close to the car color. Use the vinyl to wrap the chrome. That way when its on the front of the truck and a stone hits it, it wont chip as easily. Then again, with the new water base stuff, you can paint a damn beach ball and deflate it and it wont chip off easily. Its pretty soft stuff and may not chip like my old grill did.

i understand these are not trucks, but the styling cues are still the same principals of my suggestions.

nasty.. monochromatic, and my flush riceboy taste fitting wheels..

    haha

    heres the gto.

i did a whole two color deal before and didnt really like it.. with the wheels at least. some did.
