So I take it I'll have to take my truck to Allen at Nelson Performance in Texas to get the ever-powerful SD tune. Someone may have answered this already (my memory sucks) but will an SD tune be more accurate than my regular old MAF tune? I like having a consistent AFR when I peg the throttle....Not trying to pop #7 here

He can tune it either way and I'll let him say if it would be worth it for you to make the drive or not. Normally, a SD tune will be more accurate since you can tune for the actual boost coming into the intake. With a maxed MAF, the tuner must "guess" at the air flow rates that are past the capacity of the MAF. While most tuners can still tune around this, SD tuning accounts for the additional air flow.

IMO and experience, I would tune your setup (either MAF or SD) without using meth injection and get the AFR where you want it. Then just use it in small amounts to cool the intake charge. I was spraying quite a bit of meth and my pump/controller didn't work in time causing it to lean out and fry #7.

As far as the meth is concerned, we tuned my truck without the meth. On the final dyno pull, we made no adjustments and switched on the meth to see where the AFR would be WITH meth so I knew where I should be on the wideband with meth and without. The SD does sound like what I need but right now the MAF is doing fine. Besides, at the moment I'm more worried about my trans. Thanks for all the input though guys. Now I know what to do if I choose to run more boost and a more accurate tune. Sometimes I feel like I'm still a nebwie

Learning a little bit yet Bryan???

If its working well now--stick with it. Getting into SD 2Bar stuff...you will need to have a local, easily accessible tuner. Trust me.

Yeah, I guess I learn something new every day Tyler. Trucks are still easier to figure out than women though Sometimes I really wish I could read their minds

If you figure it out, let me know. I, along with several others, would pay some good money to have that ability.

Does Rosetta Stone have this option?

If I rubbed a magic lamp, a genie popped out and granted me only ONE wish, it would be the ability to read any woman's mind. I'm having a little trouble finding a magic lamp though. Maybe Dr. Phil can help

Relocating IAT sensor allows to pick up ambient temperature. Most of the people relocated IAT Sensorsto discharge the tube to get accrate temp and measurements. Relocating this device is easy.
