03 LQ9 with iron heads?

Found an LQ9 on craigslist for $450.

I e-mailed the guy, he didn't leave a number, and am waiting on a reply. So, does this sound fishy? Don't all LQ9s have aluminum heads?

The longer I thought about it, the less I wanted it. I'd rather find one that I know is good, with a seller that will respond, too.

only 99-2000 6.0s come with iron heads only lq4s

I finally got a response.

"It was for my project car. I sent it off to get some head work done, and when i got it the guy had left my engine open to the weather. The valve covers were on but the intake wasnt bolted down. I just came across another engine with tranny so i dont really need this one. i could get you some pics tonight. Its out of a 2003 and had 63k on it."

No thanks. If I was him, I'd be getting whoever's shop it was to pay for my motor.
