Welcome from another new guy. Nice rides. Love all of them but the 84' is my favorite, as my first truck was a 84' c10. I hope to have another someday with a LSX. Keep us updated with the build(s) please.

Not to push semantics, but that DD looks more like a commodore with the emblem in the pics. Welcome to the site, we do a little of everything around here, so you won't catch much flack for out o' the box projects.

I'd go with a 4L80e instead of the TH400. You should be able to get a good LQ4/4L80e package ready to go and you get OD.

i picked up a 5.3 the other day in excellent condition. For the cost difference, i think i will be fine with the 5.3. I am still trying to figure out what transmission to use. I am starting to look at 700r4's and 4l60's Any suggestions? I may end up getting a harness from painless or someone like that just to save myself some time. This needs to get done fairly quickly is the only thing.

I have a few left over parts from my gto i can throw on the 5.3 though which may give it some more power. Beehive valve springs and a z06 cam..

It's the Holden Monaro front end. The Monaro was basically the GTO from Aussie
