I've used the flex fuel s10 filter and the 5/16 is always the feed and the 3/8 is the return. Never used the vette cause the s10 has the male fittings on it already.

Whatever the last year they made the S10 (2003?) will be the one you need. I imagine the 4 banger truck too, don't think there's ever been a Flex 4.3.
