    tbi to lsx

    i got a couple questions guys, first off i have a 5.3 4l60 combo with a howell standalone harness with comp and im wanting to put it into a 88 chevy one ton it currently has a 454 th400 but i guess my question is will everything on the truck work if i use the howell harness?, i know the gauges probably wont so im looking for a crafty veteran for some help thanks guys

    The engine harness controls the engine through the PCM, for the gauges to work you will need to use the truck harness minus the truck ECM.

    as long as the speedo is not cable driven you should be able to get your gauges working with some fancy wiring. the motor mounts are different so you will need a kit or make some of your own, and you will prob need to move tranny mount and posssibly change driveshaft length. also have to go to a higher pressure fuel setup and a bunch of other little things you will find along the way
