    Question Crank bolt question

What is the best way to keep the crankshaft from turning when trying to remove the crank bolt on the balancer? I don't have the luxury of an impact gun.

I have a tool that goes in the starter position and locks the flywheel. Pretty handy for stuff like this. Other people use chains with success.

Put a chain through the balancer and through the frame.

I would also be afraid that I would snap off the idler pulley. It might work better using the p/s pulley but I think I will try the chain to the frame method

    Chain works perfect every time.
