Most of all the handheld tuners are vin locked once you install it on a truck so if you get the tuner stolen all you can do is have the pcm reset and clear everything and its useless or if you sell the the tuner without removing it the from the previous truck its still vin locked on that truck and is useless..that just my experience ive had with them in the past. You might as well just buy a custom tune instead of wasting time on a handheld you'll be much more pleased, thats just my 2 cents.
