~ Forged engine of some type ~ Ball bearing turbo of an unconfirmed size ~ 4L8000 trans ~ Beefy fuel system ~
the harmonic balancer? I go to Autozone and rent their Chrysler balancer puller, put a short 3/8" socket extension inside the bolt hole and then use a pusher rod inside the square drive of the socket to make the pusher long enough. Comes right off with no issues and then I return the puller and get my deposit cash back.
I think the pn is 27139, OEM brand.

The sprocket for the timing chain? Puller or heat it with a torch and beat it off with a hammer...(not suggested)

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......
Wow, never have done one with the engine in the truck. I usually use a punch and hammer since I'm tossing the old sprocket out anyway and the pan is already off. A large flat blade screwdriver can be used between the front bearing cap and the sprocket to get it off, also.

Ya, the sprocket for the timing chain. I'm trying to find an auto parts store that rents a puller but so far I've had no luck.

You can put the chain on the sprocket to help take up some of the gap. Zip tie the slack chain to itself close to the sprocket to help hold it on.

Just use the same 3 jaw puller that you would pull the harmonic balancer off with..
autozone/advance should have two different 3 jaw pullers. One is a 1-2 ton and is only like 6 inches tall. The other is a 5 ton and is about 10 inches. I'm assuming ONE of them would work.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
