    I'd like to go color matched on mine as well. I don't like the black plastic ones especially while trying to put wax on, seems to always look like crap no matter how careful I am not to get any on them. I was curious how hard it would be to sand down those and paint them to match if it would work, or if it would be better to just cut your losses and buy a set for paint.

    if you are worried about rust take both the molding and the chrome strips off and rhinoline from the body line down. and while your at it you can rhinoline the fender flares too.that way you'll have no rust and you still get protection from door dings and scratches.
