first 2010 Camaro in the 8's

Lingenfelter finally got there first, and it was just up the hwy from my house in Va. The car didn't even get off the line smoothly but still ripped it up. Congrats to LPE

I'm disappointed that it took a company as big as theirs this long to get there. You just know someone is building a TT Camaro this winter and in spring will be knocking at the door of the 7s. 2000HP and a body in white should have the weight/HP ratio to get it done.

Im with you Greg. It makes me a bit angry to see the new 5.0 Stang getting 10's with some simple boltons, because you know they'll be in the 8's in a lot less time that it took for a Camaro to reach that point. Makes me wonder if the independent rear is really causing more problems than anyone could have anticipated. There needs to be a serious concentration on weight reduction with this car, too

the new mustang is a technological nightmare though. The ford powerplant is using everything that every engine manufacturer had discovered that makes power all under one roof. GM still is running a simple 2 valve pushrod V8 and is still making their 4 valve direct port injected engines nervous. Hell, my little HHR has the potential to have 300HP from the factory 2L turbo engine with nothing more than the factory Stage kit. GM needs to give us some more power options such as the direct port injection. I'm not too sure how I'm going to like 1000+ lb fuel pressure though.

i have a direct port injected GM v8 and 1000psi fuel psi is lame its all about the 25,000psi that im running

i saw something somewhere about gm swaping to a 5.4l or a 5.5l in the lamans car (direct injected and way more efficent than the ls and i think its still ls bassed and has pushrods) and seeing as thats where the ls1 came from....
