    Gauge cluster??

I seen a pic on here where someone put a new stile gauge cluster in a 96 to 99 truck.. I would like to do the same just don't know what year will fit my truck.. Is the gauges out of a 2000 or 2001 truck and is it a plug and play kinda deal? Or is there some wire changing to be done?

    Thanks

It would help to know what kind of truck you have?

If you're talking about putting a NBS (99-07 Classic) cluster in an OBS (88-98) truck, yes it can be done and has been done. I don't know of anyone that's done it utilizing the OBS PCM with an NBS cluster, all I've seen have been done as a part of swapping to an NBS LSx platform (with an NBS PCM).

Look up shortNtall on GMFS if you're really interested.

Sorry about that yeah I have a 96 truck with the stock V6 for now but I just picked up my 6.0 tonight to do a swap soon. So I will have to wait to do the gauge swap when I do the motor? I take it this is something I need to let the guy that doing my wiring harness or will it plug in to my harness now? Sorry for all the dumb questions I'm new to the motor swapping stuff but I can build a mean dirt car lol and can fab just about anything lol
