Her is the new plan. Found a local shop that works on fuel injection wiring, The shop will take the body connectors from the 4.3 and the engine harness from the LS1 and graft the two together.

    Any suggestions

The shop specializes in smog legal engine swaps. The mechanic I talked to swears it will pass smog.

Looks like I will be spending $550 on the wiring grafting, I will be taking both 4.3 and LS1 harnesses in to this shop later this week (payday)

Open to sugestions from any body that has done an LS1 swap

Hey, great decision on Dynatech, I've been chatting with him and he's really into his customers. He's honestly here to help out.

So what are they doing to the harness? Are they leaving the 4.3L pcm or just going with the LS1 pcm?

What's you timeline and when do you expect to complete your swap.

The results are going to be well worth it!!!

    good luck,

We have done a couple of silverado V6 to LS1 wiring convertions. I noticed your main concern is Smog compliance.
We can make this work for you and pass the reffere test with 100% OBDII compliance.

    Unhappy Unsure about this swap?

Read your information about the engine swap. Are you sure you cannot put in a better engine into your truck if it wasn't available from the factory in that year? I'm from California too, and want to install

an ls1 into a 95-98 gmc truck. Will I be able to do that?
