I was cleaning my car windshield while filling up the other day with one of those stupid sticks in a bucket @ Shell.
I was scrubbing a bug off and something must have been in the sponge, it scratched my damn windshield!!
It's very noticable sitting in the driver's seat!

Does anyone know how to rub this scratch out of the glass?

    thanks for any input,

    allen

Eastwoods has a kit for that. I have seen ppl use an abrasive tooth paste, it acts like a polish compound. You put it on like a polish by hand.

I think a glass place or one that can fix cracked windshields can polish it out.

You could stop by one of the used car lots and ask them what vender they use for glass repair. They all have someone. They come out and fix chips etc. Just ask one of the used car managers. They usually have a card or number and have no prob giving it out. In fact i will be out and about at the dealerships tomorrow. I will see what i can find out if you dont have it fixed by then.

My windshield is pitted so bad it looks like it has been sandblasted. Any suggestions on how to fix that.

I'm afraid you, like me, need a new windshield. Luckily my windshield is only $150 to replace.

For cracked or scratched W/S, Wally World sells kits for ~$20. Use the resin w/ the supplied plastic square. Ten minutes in the sun after applying will cure it.

Been fixing my own windshields for the past 5 yrs. Friend of mine worked at Harmon Glass (LA), and showed me what she does (did). It's not difficult at all.
