No appreciable difference with the 80e versus the 60e. The insurance factor is nice to have though!
Have you gotten the 4wd to work yet? I'm thinking about going FI and want to swap to a 4L80e with existing 4wd before I start slapping a turbo on the truck. PM me your cost so far on the parts/labor if you don't mind. What did you do about drive shafts?

    Thanks

I haven't done a 4x4 80e conversion. I think NelsonPerformance has done one. I did all my own work so no labor expenses just the cost of the materials, $1200 trans, $900 Vig convertor, modify the crossmember, modify the wiring, change the TCM programming and swap to an 80e/TH400 yoke. The costs are whatever you can get your parts for.

Allen has been busy and my schedule hasn't allowed time to go by up til now. I'm stopping by on Friday so they can work on it. But yes, still 2x for now. I'll post an update this weekend.

OK, new update...the 07 NNBS 4x4 architecture doesn't talk to the new transfer case so we will have to move to plan B...AWD conversion. I'm gonna charge Allen for the Goof Off I need to remove the Z71 4X4 stickers off the back end...

Has he tried putting the tcm programming from a suburban or Altons bro in laws truck into yours to see if it will control the tcase? Surely there is one somewhere that may work with your 80e.

Not sure. I know Ray did some pretty extensive research. I will have to ask him and see. I think part of the problem is the "new" tcase had push-button controls and my truck has the dial. Not sure how much that comes into play.

This is not what I wanted to hear lol. Have you guys tried a 2008 HD transfercase that will mate up with the 4L80e? Don't give up yet!

I'm sure there are 2500HDs with a 6.0/4L80e/4wd option...just not sure if you can only get them with the shifter on the floor or the dial setup like we have...hmm?
