Very doubtful that the tranny will hold up, they have problems with 400 rwhp sometimes and hard racing on 600rwhp would do it in for sure.
    1 ton, 4600 pounds, 14.3@94mph any questions?

I would consider the TH400 or the 4L80E, also, lots of ppl have used the proven 200R4, the turbo guys use it and it handles up to 700ft/lbs of torque.

    I don't the 60E will last.

A fully built 4L60E may hold 500rwhp in a truck, slightly more in a lighter vehicle.

I'd go 4L80E with a TCI low ratio gear set. Basically an electronic TH400 w/ OD.

All the peeps on "the other site" think the OE PCM can't control the 4L80E, I still think it will as they all seem interchangable. Hell the 4L80E comes in the 2500 and 2500HD trucks so I'd assume with some modification to the trans crossmember it can be stuck in there.

Hey, lets find out, i need about $6K to swap a 6L in the tahoe with a 80E, how about it, hahahah.

I agree, the 80E sits behind the 6L, so it should work just fine.
