    So the needling part of the install which has given me trouble. The tach does not work....well, its not accurate is the better description.

    I'm using the stock instrument display from my 93.

    Someone had mentioned it might be analog versus digital. Any ideas on what might be wrong and how it could be fixed....

    You need a convertor. BakerElectronix.com makes one for about $35. Tell him I sent you and you need one setup for an LS1 and let him know if you have a 6 or 8 cylinder factory tach. Its a little bitty thing with four wires.
