thats not bad for a 5.3. how old are you though? i will for sure stay far away from a monthly payment like that. currently i pay 284/month for my car and then 125/month for full coverage insurance. and thats with a $1000 deductible.

21 years old, and that's full coverage with one speeding ticket on my record. 68 in a 45. Mine is also with a 1000$ deductible.

1994 Chevy extended cab short bed (paid for) 2008 5.3/2006 60e engine swap
2002 Chevy Camaro (paid for) stock V6 will be turboed one day or a 6.0 swap who knows.

300 a month insurance bc my fiance' is 21 and im 26. i have full coverage on my 08 and the 02 camaro, 500 deductible on everything. no tickets from either of us.
my insurance with just me on both trucks WOULD be 136 a month but the fiance' is on my insurance and is listed under the 08 even though she drives the Camaro only

thats not bad. im turning 20 wednesday and 0 tickets so far. hopefully it stays that way. i have court sept 20th because i go confused on the date to turhn in my stupid defensive driving so i have a show and cause hearing so hopefully the judge will let me turn my stuff in and dismiss the ticket.

thats really good. i think i'll get into a v8 when i turn 21 then. that sucks, one more year then for me.

Buy a V6 truck, do the swap. Pay V6 insurance.

Welcome to the site...anything you ever want to know is on here somewhere! These engines will take a tremendous amount of abuse, maintenance always matters....but there are plenty on here with decent mods and high miles. Mine for example has 152K on it with the mods in my sig and (knock on wood) still runs great! Nice lookin g5 by the way!
