Another East Texas Newbie

Well I am new to the computer controlled fuel injected thing. I am used to the old carb non comp cars done a few old school swaps. I have had a ton of cars and trucks over the years all makes even.... gasp Dodge and Ford! In fact I have a '08 Ram with the Hemi, its not a bad truck its just made that way.

I really want to get the Suburban running better than the Ram, which right now it doesn't. I have a '99 k1500 Suburban with the lame duck 5.7 Vortec, Molitor(our oldest is his GF) has a 5.3 he is giving me (got to give credit where its due!) and I am thinking its time for a swap. The vortec is in sad shape coolant leaks in two cylnders, and Friday last week it wouldn't pull the low hills between Tyler and Palestine. Been reading to forums on here and the swap looks doable, just need to study up on it and get tons of help! Well thats all for now see ya'll on the boards.
