K5 Auto Trans Help
I have a few K5 blazers sitting around and am contemplating a 6L swap (already have a complete engine needing a rebuild). Will a built 4l60E transmission live in a heavy K5 with a 33~35" tire? Will be mostly be an asphalt queen/hunting vessel. I want something that is reliable and am concerned about longevity. I know that a 4l80E would be better, but that would require a different transfer case and modification to the crossmember and driveshafts due to the added length. And to anyone that has done a K5 swap, any tips will be greatly appreciated.
