few questions about my newish truck....

Just bought a 00 extd cab swb with 110k miles and the drivers seat rocks back and forth. How hard will it be to put seats from an h2 in it? OR... should i just look from some leather seats from a newer extd cab? will 07 and up seats fit?
A friend of mine said theres a solvent or something that you can put on the dash and the rest of the gray interior and itll remove the coating and bring out the black underneath. i want to do the WHOLE interior, door panels, pillar panels, console, etc.
Also i want to take off the moldings & badges, what tips/tricks can yall give me to help make this go easier.

I would also like to know what this solvent is that takes the gray coating and reveals the black plastic underneath on the dash, as mine got a harsh cleaner from the previous owner which left the coating patchy and peeling on the dash.

I'd say grab a pair of seats from a loaded leather pickup like an SS or something, those would look awesome. As far as this "solvent" you're speaking of, I've never heard of such a thing, there are dyes that can be used to change the color of an interior though. IMO, I'd leave it the color it is and rather color match (paint) some of the interior pieces like the dash bezel and door components, etc.

For your debadge, I'd recommend some strong fishing line wrapped around two dowels and some Goo Gone. Fishing line works great for getting under the badges and cutting through the adhesive. Then some good ol' Goo Gone and elbow grease will get the remaining residue off, unless you want to get one of these: iTOOLNET.COM | 3M STRIPE WHEELS | 3M 07499 at your local parts store.

i didnt want to repaint the dash or the interior components, the dash coating is similar to a rubber or teflon material but underneath its like a rhino lined black material. this was all i could find about the coating material Safe way to remove the 'rubberized' coating on dash trim? The 3m eraser wheel is your best friend when debadging. Just gently pry the molding off and hit the 3m tape with the eraser wheel.

Hey I'm close to you and got all the tools you need to do anything, just ask Tommy. Removing all the badges and moldings are simple but will require some buffing considering the age of the truck.

As far as the dash. Your gonna have a big mess by the time you get done. It'll be easier and cleaner to remove the dash, which isn't hard and just pressure wash it. It'll take it right off without damaging the plastic.
