    installed 4.10s today

    me and a tech from our chevy store installed 4.10s this morning and my tur trac. they have a little tiny bit of a sing to them but the pattern is great so im gunna run about 500 and check it again. i can't wait to be able to get into it when theyre broke in

    thanks. we measured back lash and i think it was like .006 or whatever, 6 thousanths. i dont know why i still have a little bit of sing but well see if it goes away or if we have to change something.

    What brand gears? Many gears under $200 a set are a single cut gear and will always be noisy. AAM are about the quietest gears available, they're the gears GM uses.

    i bought mine from ron and they were US standard gears. so will those always be noisy

    yessir, thats me.

    If they start out noisy and they're installed correctly they're going to always be noisy. AAM gears are hard to beat, worth the extra $50 IMO.

    Ron didn't give me a choice for AAM.I told him what ivwanted gear wise and that's what he sold me. I took all the recommendations that he would sell me a quality product. Well goin to put up with the singing for the weekend and see what the guys think at work Monday.

    P.s. Greg, I know you know your stuff for sure so you are always a huge help!!
