It was not the least bit arrogant. I'm not an arrogant person. I'm a moderator on the site and as such I try to be helpful when members need it. I had a 15 minute break at work and saw your questions and tried to answer in the quickest and most effective way with the remaining time I had on my break.

When I quoted you and then quoted the rule I clicked "Submit" and it wouldn't let me because the "Message is too Short". See, it doesn't recognize quoting someone as text. So I had to type something so I could submit the answer, so I just put the "...." between the two quotes. If you for some odd reason view DOTS as arrogant - I'm probably not going to get my point across to you anyway.

With your immediate attitude toward the rules and then toward me for trying to help, I doubt many people would be real comfortable dealing with you anyway. With that same attitude and me being a moderator looking out for the good of the site, your chances of buying or selling here are getting worse.

I am a fan of this site. I am also a fan of the for sale section of this site. I subscribe to at least 10 for sale sections on truck and car sites. This one is the best. I don't know why you are crying over 30 days and 30 posts. ls1gto requires 100 posts and every picture must have a hand written user placard.
DamnYankees response to your whining was funny. If you would stick around long enough you would find that DY is extremely nice and very helpful. He gets nothing for being a mod but a hard time from people with 4 or 5 posts.

explain how coming on here and posting how the rules are dumb and insult one of the moderators and think that we are losing out(we as in the site members) is supposed to affect anyone positively. have fun on other sites that most of us belong to as well. maybe you just destroyed your business opportunities

I think you are missing the point of the classified on this site in the first place.
1. The site doesn't make any money off classifieds sales, so that doesn't factor into moderators' motives at all.
2. The listings aren't for members to make money either. They are a way for established members to trade parts with one another. Get rid of parts you might not want while giving somebody else a deal on something they are looking for.
3. Nobody cares if you with 4 posts aren't around in the classifieds. In fact we prefer that you aren't.

Well man, it came off to me as a little arrogant. If you didn't have time to post what you wanted to say, it could've waited. I wasn't up all morning waiting for an answer. I was finishing up a night shift, and couldn't find my answer in the rules. I knew I missed it, hence the whole, "show me how dumb I am." Was TRYING to stay friendly. Apologies. But you have to agree, if you've seen any of the negative feedbacks from other forums, post count doesn't mean crap. A thief is a thief. So yeah, it is still a dumb rule, IMO. But w/e, looks like I'm closer to the post count minimum anyway. I usually just lurk and use the search button. I rarely have much of a reason to post. Guess I could put up 25+ smiley posts, if that proves I won't cheat somebody. I honestly have more respect than to just post whore...

I was trying to help you. If you took "...." as arrogant, you made an ignorant judgment. It's that simple. The fact that you can't wrap your head around that simple little fact and are still trying to justify your response shows how unreasonable of a person you are. Now you're going to say I should have waited to post so as to not hurt your feelings? Look at that from my point of view: I'm limited on my time, post up a couple of quotes to answer your question, and get called arrogant because of it. A little quick to assume, aren't you??

You've stressed that it's a dumb rule. I get it. As of right now, regardless of your post count, you will NOT be posting in our classifieds. If you feel our rules are dumb, then we (the moderators) have no reason to believe you would abide by them. So don't worry about your post count...our Classifieds section is not and will not be available for your use.


This whole thread/topic is definitely not just between me and you. We have a community here and as you can see, we watch each others backs. Your comments have obviously irritated others and as respected members of the site, their opinions count.

So all of that being said, enjoy the site. I mean that. There's a lot of great information here and a lot of helpful people if you give them a chance and don't jump to conclusions and assume the worse.
