    yea.. but this is over .600... thought couldn't go over that without clearance issues??

    I don't know that it would hit the piston. Why would comp make a cam like that, and then say it's for the 5.3? They don't mention anything about needing different pistons, or a back cut or anything.

    Duration is what causes clearance issues, not lift. Your piston is at the bottom of the cylinder when your valves are fully open.

    That's why you can get away with .600" of lift with a shorter duration.

    any updates on this cam? anyone tried it out yet?
