I don't know that it would hit the piston. Why would comp make a cam like that, and then say it's for the 5.3? They don't mention anything about needing different pistons, or a back cut or anything.Originally Posted by Tank

Duration is what causes clearance issues, not lift. Your piston is at the bottom of the cylinder when your valves are fully open.
