You can get a adjustable orfice tube @ Orielly's for about $25 bucks. What I mean is the tube actually works like the old expansion valve. They carry two different ones, one for 100 degree weather and one for105 degree weather. Colder air keeps the old lady closer by myside.

Do you have the part numbers for those adjustable ones?
99' Silverado RCSB Z71: 5.7L Iron LS1, 11.2:1, Custom EPS Cam, Ported 862's,Ported TB, E-Bay Cold Air, E-Bay Long Tubes, Dynomax X-Pipe Exhaust, Electric Fans, Innovative LC-1, Self Built 4L60E, Circle D Pro Single Disc, 4:10 ValueTrac
also pressure check or make sure your vacuum holds around 20-25 microns for 30 minutes before charging.
Nothing stock...I either broke it or replaced it before I broke it!!
It's not an adjustable orifice tube, it is a variable orifice valve or auto adjusting orifice tube.
38903 from oreilly's. Same one fits OBS and NBS, depending on rear AC options.
