LSa is only part of what makes a cam choppy and lopey

a few members on this site have cams in the 115 and they hit hard, i have a 115+2 and its lopey

duration has alot to do with it

if youre looking for a 68 hot rod sound then look into the thumper LS cams.

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Yup - a lopey idle is caused entirely by valve overlap. The amount of overlap is determined by LSA, duration, and lobe acceleration ramps. Lower LSA, longer duration, and slower ramp rates will contribute to a lopier idle.

    hey smokey

i was just informing you that on this perticular cam a 112 will have more lope of chorse more duraration means more lope but again we cant miss all the people who get to much lift and duraration because they like the sound and then someone comes along with a mild cam and smokes em. the most important thing anyone can do is spec a cam that works for there aplication towing, racing ,drag, cornercarver, hot rod, get one that preforms well and gives you power in the rpm band you will spend the most time in, then play with the lsa for sound just know that it will also affect preformance too, its all a mater of what your willing to give up and where you comfortable or sweet spot is
