    amp problems

my trusty old RF 325.1 is down... when everythings hooked up normal and playing the subs just make a static noise. if i unhook the remote wire the power light and amp stay on. i pulled the cover and put it in my 240 and it does the same thing

Make sure the sub moves freely by pushing directly on the center of the cone. Also check to see if any stray "hairs" of wire from the power wire are touching the remote terminal. If you want to open the amp up, look for anything that looks burnt.

It's a ghost amp if you take off your remote power wire, and it stays on. Look inside the amp and see if the power, ground, and remote wire bus is some how shorting to ground or something.
GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT RICER MATH!
