Max RPM to spin on new 370

Well getting close to being able to finish the 370 up. Its forged pistons and rods with stock crank. Haven't had the cam spec'd cause i dont know where i want to shift and what i want the max RPM to be. I was thinking like 6800 what other opinion out there? I;m mainly looking for a top-end screamer. Roll racing is where its at. If i have to at the track i will spray out of the hole.

rpm is going to be determined by turbo size. Youll have to plot out the amount of air flow vs rpm vs PR to see where youre max rpm is going to be

    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

if that is the case, it will be a PT88 or Comp turbo 80.(amount of air flow vs rpm vs PR ) I have no idea

Little girls shift at 6800rpms lol. Mark, with supporting drivetrain (LS2/LS7 lifters, Harland Sharp modded stock rocker arms, and of course some good double springs), 7k shift point is cake mix... even 7200... With the proper turbo and a 230's cam it will scream up top... and be a killer from a roll

thing with a turbo tho it determines the rpm range. If it starts getting too much BPR then it will choke up and cut your rpm range greatly.

but to give you an idea on what you want to hear a Pt88 on a 370 should shift around 6800 rpms. Thats saying your have no restrictions, properly sized charge pipes, good size downpipe, free flowing exhaust. a cam to support the power range

Yup, and that's why SC has the 91mm terbo he has. Don't be afraid to rev it up Mark. It's all in the combo you put together...
