    Help!!!!

Ok here is my question. I have a 01 xcab I am putting 4.10 gears in it and eventually a cam. What I want to know is would it kill any power or help to go ahead and put a 2600 stall in it after I do the gears or is it ill-advised? All the input would be welcomed. Yes I already have it tuned and runs great just trying to get some stuff ironed out before I make a pass down the strip.

Now I do some towing. I have a 69 chevy step side and a friend with a suzuki sammy with a 383 in it and dana axles under it. Will that hurt anything for towing? I am getting a 228 cam.

you better go smaller cam cause that 228 wont work well with a 2800 nor a 3k stall

tr220 paired with a circle d 2600 along with 4.10's should be fine.
You can go bigger and not gain much more max hp but you start cutting your throat.. down low. I've seen way smaller cams even produce more average power and a few make more peak power... but something had to be wrong in tune.

Thank you very much. That was the first cam of choice the thumper 220 and but everyone said no bigger lol. So what on average would that do in the 1/4 about mid 14 depending on the tune. The guy I use will not tune a cam unless it is a dyno tune. And I for one am not complaining about that. It could only help right?

that is correct sir, dyno tune FTW. the largest cam you will need is one that will not require more than a 2600 stall TC to gain optimum performance
