    Rocker Arm Questions

Hey guys, new to the LS motor and just have a couple quick questions. I have an 02 EC 1500 with the 5.3. First off, what are the factory rocker ratios? Are there any decent gains with getting a higher ratio rocker on a stock cam, and if so, what ratio would you guys recommend with the factory springs? Thanks in advance!

stock rocker arm ratio is 1.7, you can go to a 1.75 or 1.8. but I'm not sure of the stock valve springs

The small gains from a set of rocker arms doesn't justify the cost. And I'm talking about quality rockers, not cheapo ebay ones.

For about the same price you could buy a new/used cam and then begin collecting all the other parts needed to install it. Then you will see some REAL gains in HP/TQ.
