Yeah I wanted a TVS at first and then I got a turbo because it was a little cheaper from the start but it cost alot more in the long run I will probably do a forged 6.0 and built trans then eventually go the TVS route it's a sport truck not a drag queen, but I am firm believer skys the limit with a turbo the truck was pretty quick!

    my 2 cents!
Ryan i am sorry you spent 10 grand on your turbo set up. You pm'd me and asked several questions and also ignored my advice. I directed you to a guy who builds and runs turbo kits. Also he stands behind his work. Then i gave you several options of who to speak with about tuning and what you should do ( my hindsight). I have been through the same situation you are in, but i sucked it up and made a few choices to try and better the truck. My advice to you is the next time you would like to mod your truck.....take it to someone and tell them what you want! It will be cheaper and easier that way! Please don't take this post the wrong way but you need to take a chill pill and look at what you are doing by typing mean things about sponsors and vendors whom you have prolly pissed off due to your inpatients. If your truck is back to stock and still not running right i suggest a dealer take a look and consider fixing or replacing the motor if it need be, then talk to a performance shop that knows what they are doing. Then if they screw it up its not your fault. In allens defense, he is a long way from you and if you installed the kit wrong his tune will be worthless. So before you place the blame on everyone else, take a look at what you have done and you could find the cause of your misfortune!
    Have a nice day!

Good luck with building a new motor....I'm not downing your capabilities but hopefully you have learned a huge lesson this time around. If you haven't, you'll end up in the same position. And good luck finding someone to tune the truck if you do an engine swap, hopefully you didn't burn all the bridges.

IMO, if you're going to mess with FI(especially a turbo), it's best to buy tuning software and learn to tune yourself. The whole tuning deal is actually something that holds me back from turbocharging my own vehicles.

PS. I wish my two tunes now had better shift points and rev-limiter settings, but oh well. I've got a 5.3 in a Chevelle with a 231/237 cam and the rev limiter is at 6000rpm. Can you get that retune out for me Allen?
