What year 4L80E works the best?

Ok, im swapping in an Lq9 into my Sonoma Gt and i am going to use a 4L80E trans and want to know if one from a 92 will work or do i have to have a late model trans from behind a gen 3 engine originally?

I have been looking for a 2000+ 4l80e that came from behind a 6.0L originally and i am completley shocked at the prices im getting for used trans.

I can get a better deal on an older 80E, but will it work?

as far as i know they all are fine...on the motors thou...that drive by wire sucks ass...throttle response sucks..i dont know why the vette's have such good throttle response with this and our trucks suck....
