    Head Bolts!!!??? Issue...

When we took my heads off my truck, there were shorter bolts on the ends of the heads, its a bolt whatever. Ordered ARP head bolts for replacement and went under summit and plugged in my vehicle, came up xxxx, and i checked other places for validity. Everything was fine. Bolts are here and they are all long, no short ones for the end. Kyle did some research and my head bolts are supposed to be all long on an 04. Ideas? Any info soon would be great, want it going back together this weekend, thanks guys

so to finish the story every place we looked said 04 + uses all the same head bolts and i know i had read the same thing on here as well. so the kit was ordered by the year which his truck is an 04. well come to find out he called a dealership and 04 was a split year where there were some motors with all the same lenght head bolts others with shorter end bolts. what a joke lol... live an learn i guess i bet this isnt the first time its happened. so i believe a new set should be here by the weekend and we will hopefully have the 4.8 back together and running. time shall tell.

BTW, its not the head, its the block that makes it that way.
