    How to setup gears

Maybe all the experts can chime in, along with Ron from Ron's Machine.
btw, I've bought several gear sets, install kits and a couple of Detroit TruTracs, great service and parts are working good!

Along with setting up the gears, what about the tools needed to do all this?

I do my own gears and pick and choose on what trucks we do, so I'm comfortable with doing them, just thought it'd be a good subject to talk about.

bearing press... bearing spliter.. magnetic dial indicator to check backlash... I use a hot plate to help install bearings ... of course extra shims for carrier and pinion allways help ... And of corse all the normal shop tools ease the process...
